We follow the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Softball rules with slight alterations to fit our events.
GAME TIMES:
A coin flip will determine the home team for all games.
Games are 1 Hour and 20 – minutes - Finish the batter. If the home team is batting and ahead while time expires, the game is over.
No Tie Breaker in showcase play. Games can end in a tie on showcase day and/or in pool play. Elimination Sunday we will invoke the international tie breaker rule.
If a showcase has an elimination Sunday component then National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Softball rules will apply.
LINEUP OPTIONS:
Nine can play any position on defense without reporting to the umpire.
Or
You may use DP/Flex- 10 players are listed on the line-up, but only 9 bat. The DP can bat for any player that you designate prior to the start of the game. That player is designated as the Flex and should be listed in the 10th spot on the line-up card. Any of the 10 players can play on defense.
Elimination Play - NFHS Rules
Lineups - Nine batters with substitutions listed. May use DP/Flex. Courtesy runners must come off the bench for the pitcher or catcher.
SHOWCASE RULES:
A team may bat everybody in the lineup with unlimited substitutions.
You MUST maintain your batting order and submit a lineup card to the official for the integrity of the game.
Courtesy Runners - Saturday only. You can have runners for your pitcher and catcher. It can be any player on your team. (In the game or out of the game, run, BUT the same runner can NOT be used more than once per inning unless a college coach is making a request same goes for batting twice) If a batter is hit by a pitch you may put a runner on first base and the batter continues with a new count. If hit or walked again batter takes base!
PITCHING RULE:
While the pitcher takes the signal, her stride foot may be on or behind the pitcher’s plate as far back as desired. Once the pitcher initially sets the toe of her stride foot, she CANNOT move it to increase the distance behind the pitcher’s plate. In addition, the pitcher must take or appear to take a signal while in the pitching and signal-taking positions.
INTENTIONAL WALKS:
All pitches including a pitchout must be legally pitched to the catcher and ball is considered live and you may advance at your own risk.
RUN RULE:
Run rule will be 10 after 4 innings and 8 after 5 innings.

2. Head to Head
3. Runs Allowed
4. Run Differential
5. Runs Scored **If a team plays extra 4th game, then we will draw a # out a hat and that game # will be dropped win or lose.
EJECTIONS/UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:
Any coach or player ejected from a game will be required to sit out the next game.
College Players:
Please check with the tournament director prior to each event. College players, College Students or anyone who has been on a college roster may "NOT" be allowed to play in this event.
